CAMA Instructor Morgan Alexander had to settle for silver at the Great Britain Savate Championships in London on 17th July. After a very close fight over three rounds, London fighter Lizzy Hawkins took the women's under 70kg title. Alexander had beaten Hawkins in their previous meeting at the Leys School in April.

Unfortunately, a niggling hand injury had restricted the amount of sparring that Morgan had been able to do leading up to the competition and Hawkins, who had the slight edge overall from their past encounters, proved too strong on this occasion.
